The pressure is on to see just how good the music will be at our work out tonight.I've been on a bit of a roll lately and have scored some great new tunes to ride by. So, tonight, I'll be featuring:
Amadou and Miriam
and about thirty other artists. It's a ton of fun discovering these great songs, even more fun to hear them loud! So, 15 mins to go and we are out of here! If you're not riding with us, what are you missing....?
Hi all, I don't normally post this kind of thing on my website, but maybe there's a need? Anyway, one of our Spokies is selling one of her bikes and it's a beauty in a highly desired size. Feast your eyes on this!
It's a Specialized Ruby Elite, 48cm frame ( so quite small, suitable for 5'1-5'4 maybe), has new tires AND! has less than 500km!!. It's a beautiful bike that has been well looked after and would look great under the tree at Christmas.
Take a look at this review of the bike,...
Here's the kicker, Gina is asking only $970 for this bike, that's an excellent price for a bike of this quality. Send her an email and do it quick because this bike will go sooner than later!!
It's -15C outside! But really, we're into November after all. To be honest, I don't feel too bad about how the year went weather wise.
Anyway, tonight is our second session of Spoke n'Hot Indoors. We're looking forward to an exciting night of great music, hard work and questionable humour! It's a nice gym that we use with lots of room, clean washrooms and easy access.
It's not too late to sign up, or even come out and give it a try. We promise you a fun, friendly time. To register just click here. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Theresa or me anytime.
See you tonight!
Here's a link that talks about Gladys bikes. It's an interesting bike store in Portland OR, that caters to women first, then men.
When I first approached Freddy about sponsoring Spoke n'Hot his immediate reaction was Yes. He didn't ask how much, didn't ask for anything at all, he just wanted to help. Our entire relationship was, and is still, based on a handshake.
Dutch Cycle is not women oriented, men oriented or little green men oriented. They are cyclist oriented, they put the rider first above all other considerations.
And that's why Dutch Cycle is our sponsor.
It's about 5:45 on Saturday morning, we'll be leaving the house at about 0715 to our first RMC biking session of the year. And that made me think of our very first Spoke n'Hot Indoor training ride coming up on Monday!
Theresa and I are looking forward to riding with you again, we always have a good time and leave the class feeling tired but happy.
So I hope that you are looking forward to it too.. Terry Lazarou has volunteered to come out and help so if you are at all unsure about setting your bike up in the trainer he's your guy!
Don't forget to bring something to put under your front wheel, an old phone directory works well in a pinch or any old hard back book ( I hear that Danielle Steele novels are particularly good for being ridden over).
Also a towel, your trainer! and, important, a water bottle.
We'll be there by 6 to open the doors and get organized. Don't forget that if you want to just come out and try it, you are very welcome. I'll bring a spare trainer or two just in case but would appreciate it if you could let me know.

See you Monday,

I tend to be the noisy one, Theresa and the Ride Leaders are the real story.
