which, according to Theresa, I will probably make a complete hash of! But the analogy is sound...see, riding your bike well is not just a case of going out for a couple of hours once a week in summer. The Monday Spoke n'Hot ride is the icing on the cake and right now we have to start mixing the ingredients before we pop it in the oven!
OK, enough of that...
Starting Nov 3rd we will be starting the process that will make you a better rider next year. The Indoor training program that Theresa has put together is applicable to anyone, is progressive and is fun ( in a slightly warped way). Ride with us once a week, then train at home twice more and you will be amazed at how strong you will be. You can Register here
Nervous about coming out? Not sure if it's right for you? Fair enough, so how about coming out to try it free! I'll even lend you a trainer, if I have to I'll even find you a bike!! Really, :)
You do not need to be an existing Spoke n'Hot rider, so if you have a friend that's "thinking about it" then this is the ideal opportunity. We can help you set up, and even give you a place at the back so you can just check it out! All I ask is that you let me know so I can make sure I have a trainer for you. I can always be reached at 306 501 7054 or email@example.com.
See you soon,
Last night I asked if there was any interest in having Theresa and I put on our Spoke indoor cycling sessions? I thought I'd let you all think about it for a week then we'd make a decision. Well, the decision was made for us by the incredible response we had from you!
Starting Mon Nov 3rd at 6:30, the Parliament Community Church Gym will once again be rocking to the latest hits, the loudest laughs and the scariest groans as Theresa puts us all through her special training regime!
The classes are women only and are designed to help build your strength and stamina through smart progressive training. We concentrate on good pedalling technique, posture and breathing. Whether you are a beginner or veteran you WILL benefit from this class. All you need is your bike, a trainer and a towel. A heart rate monitor is helpful but not necessary.
If you do not have a trainer we will rent you one, our supply is very limited ( 5, I think) so if you want one you need to register asap because it's first come, first served. The cool thing is that you get to take it home with you to train during the week! We think that you'll enjoy yourself so much that eventually you'll want to buy your own anyway
This will be our third year working with the Spoke riders, and we're looking forward to seeing just how strong you can be!

If you have ANY questions please feel free to contact Theresa, 306 530 5560, Mark 306 501 7054, or fire us an email
Theresa and Mark.
We've had a couple of inquiries about indoor training on Monday evening. I thought I would ask you if you would be interested in doing this again?
Theresa and I had a great time last Fall/Winter and are quite looking forward to repeating the experience.
To make it work we would prefer to see at least twenty of our riders sign up.
One of the hurdles we faced last year was the cost of buying a Trainer to use during the sessions. At $200-$400 we understand that it can be a challenge to afford the additional expense. Well, over the summer Theresa and I built up an inventory of trainers that we will be able to rent out. Probably $40 for each session?
We're looking at $80 for the Fall session, Nov 3 to Dec 22 and $90 for the Winter session, Jan 5 to April 6.
So, if you could let me know asap I'll get right on it!
I tend to be the noisy one, Theresa and the Ride Leaders are the real story.
