It's exciting to see the weather finally smartening up. There were a few people out riding this weekend unfortunately I was stuck in a classroom all day Saturday teaching a cycling course. It was distracting for all of us whenever we saw someone ride by!
So Monday night at 6:30 is our first of two Tech nights at Dutch. This is a fun opportunity to learn how to change a tire and ask all those questions that plague new riders. It's always a noisy fun time with a lot of laughter but at the end of the evening you will leave with a little more understanding of how to look after your bike.
So, bring your front wheel only, casual clothing and curiosity. We'll try our best to have you out by 8:30!
Mark, Theresa and Freddy.
I'm pleased to announce the formation of Spoke n'Hot Youth!
Open to boys and girls and starting on May 4, this is a sixteen week program aimed at cyclists between 13-17 who are interested in learning to ride a bike well. Maybe you are a competitive cyclist thinking about racing, you could be a triathlete looking to get stronger on the bike, or you could be someone who has always loved bikes and wants to put some serious time and effort in to see just what you can do! Whichever way you look at it, if you love bikes you'll fit right in!
Led by Coach Sean Kukura, you will learn the correct way to ride a bike in a competition environment. Sean has put together a comprehensive program that will teach you how to look after your bike, how to ride it safely, how to ride in a group and how to train effectively.

We're looking forward to seeing all of you again on Monday at 6:30 for the Registration Celebration
It's always a good time at Dutch and we will have a laugh or two. You did RSVP on Facebook didn't you??
We're saying Good Bye to a couple of our Ride Leaders and Hello to a couple of new ones this year
Jackie H is focusing very intensely on her Ironman training this year, we'll miss her incredibly positive attitude. Cara M is now a new and busy mom, Leah W is taking on some new challenges and Pedro is trying to spend more time working with the RCC. Thank you all.
I'm thrilled to announce that Freddy will be our new G10 Leader. He has some great plans for this group and is really going to create some excitement in 2015. If you want to push yourself and ride hard then this is the best place in Regina to be.
We also have two Erin's joining us...
Erin Kiefer is the current President of the RMC and a very talented cyclist. This week she is out here in Penticton with us beating her legs into submission! She will be joined by new Saskatchewanian, Erin Edwards.
Erin is from sunny BC where she volunteered with La Bicicletta, raced bikes, organized events and did all sorts of fun things on two wheels.
Shane McNaughton, a long time rider here in the city will also be leading. A strong rider with a lot of experience, he will certainly be a big help for us.
Returning once again will be Terry Lazarou, Paul Cutting, Alan and Wanda, Nicole Cripps and our Safety superstar, Neil Sundeen!
It's a wonderful team that love riding bikes and having fun. Let's take this summer and beat the living daylights out of it! See you Monday!!
Mark and Theresa.
I tend to be the noisy one, Theresa and the Ride Leaders are the real story.
