We had a great ride last night. The weather sort of cooperated and cooled down a touch and the wind was at least steady and not gusting! The route appeared to be popular so we might do that one on a more regular basis. All the Groups were tight and in control, I saw no riders on their own and everyone made it back to the parking lot by eight'ish.
Every year it starts, this year a little earlier. The , I guess by now, traditional "hanging around in the parking lot visiting until Security kicks us out" phenomenon. Conversations were being held all over the place, mostly about biking, pedals, bike shorts..the routine stuff until...
I don't know all the details, or really want to know, but apparently the topic of silicon boob protectors arose. Fortunately one of our riders had a sample pack with her and a vigorous discussion and demonstration ensued. Both Alan and I realized that we had little to contribute to this particular conversation so we kept our distance, content in the knowledge that staying away is the absolute right thing to do.
We left the parking lot at 8:40, there were still riders visiting. I just know that someone will be bringing cupcakes eventually.
I tend to be the noisy one, Theresa and the Ride Leaders are the real story.
